Have You Been Wounded For Jesus Christ?

If you got saved and became a Christian, it is very likely that you will receive rejection from your friends and people at work or school.  The good news is that they are not rejecting you, they are rejecting God so don’t get upset or sad.  The carnal mind does not want anything to do with God.  The Ego is the enemy.

There might be times when you are fighting for God’s cause.  You are defending a Christian point of view and people around you put you down and say mean things.  Don’t worry my brothers and sisters.  God is with you and Glory to God.  You are doing the right thing if you are standing up for what is right.  Never give up.  God will be by your side.

The Bible is full of examples of God’s people being rejected, crucified, tortured, burned, and killed.   Anytime you are trying do the right thing you are going to be fought.   This is a fact.  You will be taunted and tempted by either the people around you or your mind trick you to double think the situation.  You will have thoughts of fear or shortcuts that take away the Glory from God.  Don’t give into this temptation.

God is watching you and is by your side always.  Jesus Christ will walk with you through the pain and suffering.  Just lean against him in your mind and heart.  Take a moment and trust in him.  Close your eyes and envision yourself leaning against Jesus for help, comfort, and most of all Trust.  He will be there to help you.  Be persistent with your request and God will show up in your moment.  Trust in this and it will be so.

Jesus Christ Is The Light of The World

The Bible says that Jesus is the light of the world and came to save man from sin and death.  The world knew him not.  The world rejected him.  Jesus suffered and felt the pain of rejection.  There are a lot of people in the world that claim to know God but don’t Jesus.

The Bible clearly states that all have to come through Jesus Christ.   We need to keep our focus on Jesus.  If we take our focus off Jesus we take our focus off God.  We cannot serve God if we are not serving Jesus Christ.  This is a very important fact in the Bible that people fail to see.

People are focusing on what is right for them.  People will worship anything that pleases them but the Bible is clear that Jesus paid for our sins.

God the father has given all power to Jesus.   Do you refer to Jesus as God?   Jesus Christ is God in the flesh.  He came to pay the price because no one can live the law perfectly.   Man is bound by sin.  We are far from perfect.  Through the law we become aware of our inability to maintain the law.  The law puts us under conviction.  We come to realize that we cannot be 100% obedient to the law all the time.

To reach heaven, we must be cleansed from this sin.  We cannot do this ourselves as has been proven through the law.  We need Jesus Christ in order to pay the debt of those sins.  Sin is a negative force within us.  We cannot become children of God and enter heaven having Sin.  We need Jesus Christ to cleanse us of this sin.  He will remove the sin through repentance-salvation, and seal our soul until the last day of judgment.

Jesus is the light of the world.  The world will plunge into darkness if we take our focus from Jesus.

When we take our focus from Jesus we in other words build our own golden calf.  Whatever it may be.  We take our eyes off of Jesus and establish our own righteousness in our own image.  Our natural human tendency is to do this.  We have to come to the realization that our perception of reality of what is right and wrong is not the standard.  The word of Jesus Christ God is the standard.   What do yo focus on?

God’s Power – Job Had A Special Hedge That Was Taken Away From Him

It is an interesting realization that Christians must come to know.  We have a hedge that is placed around us by God to protect us from the adversary.   If we are not right with God, and if we are in sin, we are allowing this special hedge that protects us to be taken away from us.   If are lives are upside down, we have to ask ourselves, why has this hedge been taken away.  What did we do and how can we get right with God to fix this.

Job was a God-fearing servant of the Lord.  He really loved the Lord with passion.  Job had a hedge that protected him.  The devil knew this and had come to temp him and destroy him before but could not.  It wasn’t until Job 1:8, “And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”

Job 1:9 “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?”

Job 1:10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

So the devil knew about this special protection that he had.  He knew he couldn’t touch him unless this protection was removed.

The point I am trying to make is that God loves us so much that he will give us that same blessing and hedge to protect us.  He will deliver us from evil but it is through our own wickedness that we are deceived and go off into the world with pride, leaving God with no choice but to remove his hedge from us.

We might think we can build our own hedge with wealth, hedge funds, credit, etc. but we are only fooling ourselves.   This is not what God intended for us.  It’s not to say we can’t have these things but if we put them before God than we are worshiping money instead of God.  Anytime we put Money before God we are doomed.

We need to understand that money is just a byproduct of value.  Money by itself is worthless unless there is value attached to it.  All good value comes from the blessings of God.  If we build upon false value, or counterfeits, we will fall.  Nothing lasts forever.

Pray for God’s hedge to be placed around you.  Especially if you are going through hard times, trust in God and ask for his mercy and hedged to be placed around you.  If we are being challenged by the world, the last thing we need is more obstacles.  We need to stop the bleeding first before we can stabilize otherwise the challenges will keeps coming at us.

God’s love is sufficient and will carry us but we need to learn how to trust in God in a whole new way we never thought of.  It is with passion that he loves us so it is with passion that we must love him.  We have to get to the highest level of love intensity seeking God with all our heart that we will be able to tune into his Word.

The first commandment is “I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me…”.

Are You Neglecting God and Jesus?

If you are like many people who only read the bible once in a while and only pray once in a while or when things go bad, then you are neglecting God and Jesus.  We are all guilty of this sin because we get caught up in our lives and in the world.

It is easy for anyone to get in a selfish mode because there are so many distractions in the world especially if you watch television.  With hundreds of channels to choose from nowadays, it is really hard to put the remote control down and open the Bible, read, and pray.

Our lives have become unmanageable and we’ve become to busy.  We might have the wrong friends that keep us away from what is truly right.  Our hearts are taken away by our lusts and we just don’t have enough time anymore.

God will judge more those who had more opportunity and did nothing with it.  The good news is  that we still have time while we are on this earth.  When we are ready to be led, God is ready to show us the way.  God is a leader and will lead us to doing his will.

To him that is much give, more shall be required.  When we receive blessings, we need to realize that we need to do something with these blessings.  It may be to give God the thanks and the glory for the success.  If it is monetary, we need to tithe and give back to the community.  We need to send money to charity and goodwill.  Also, it is important that we send donations to missionaries in the field that are struggling to get by and have little resources.  They may be in a foreign country and might need your support.

All the things that God blesses us with, what have we done with it.  Think about this for a moment.  We are accountable for all the knowledge and experience and resources we have.  Are we getting the word out?  What are we doing on a daily basis for Jesus Christ
Take advantage of the opportunity that is available to you.

Do You Have A Place and Purpose With God?

Having a place and purpose with God is very important.  When we are living in the will of God we are blessed.  Some people may think that the Bible is a limiting instrument but I believe it frees us and gives us life and purpose.  We have something real that is spiritual.   Our place is in heaven and we are living in the world preparing for this.  We  are not to feel sorry for ourselves but rather rejoice in the Lord.

In Nehemiah 4, the Jews were rebuilding the wall and they were being ridiculed and criticized.  God gave them the place to build and rebuild but the people of the world did not understand.

1But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.

2And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

My friends, take your relationship with God serious.  He has a purpose for us all.  We have the human nature to go off into the world and seek riches and self gratitude.  We need to ask God where our place and purpose is and what his will is for us.  We need to ask where do we fit in.

I love how Noah knew his place and purpose with God.  He was obedient and followed God’s will.  We  need to pray and ask God for his leadership.  What is our task today having the faith necessary and the patience to wait upon the Lord for his word.  When God speaks to our heart we shall know it.

If we are living in the world we are not living for God.  We cannot serve the world and God at the same time.   Are you satisfied with your life?  God is waiting for us to seek him.  He wants to greet us in heaven but we need to repent of our sins.  Our soul needs to be cleansed and it can only be made clean through repentance.   Seek the love of Jesus Christ because it is through him that we are saved.  It is through the suffering of Jesus Christ that we are forgiven.

The Bible says that God is pleased with his son Jesus Christ and that only through him we can be saved.  This means that we cannot live the law because we have the flesh to contend with.  It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can find salvation.   Do you have the passion for Jesus Christ.  He has passion for you.  He loves us and wants us to seek him.

Here is an audio sermon that I like about having a place and purpose with God.

Enjoy.

Are You Where You Ought To Be With God?

There is an important message of understanding of God and ourselves in that we have a sinful flesh and cannot do good unless we repent and have Jesus Christ in us. We think we can be good people but the Bible says that are works are as filthy rags. Think about it. Every time we think we are doing good, it is for our self glory. It is to feel good about ourselves and to get a sense of accomplishment.

The message in the Bible speaks that there is only one that is good enough and that is Jesus Christ. It is through Jesus that we can become good people. My flesh is weak and I am constantly thinking in the flesh. It is only when I live through Jesus that I can get outside of myself and glorify God.

When I repent daily as the Apostle Paul said, I die daily. This means that my ego and flesh needs to die because all my intentions are self-serving instead of God serving. We need to be servants of God’s will and not of ourselves. We need to be careful when we are doing good works and ask ourselves, are we doing it for our self-satisfaction or are we doing it to please God. There is a fine line. Our nature is to feel like we are doing good for people but it is just a perception. Although our perception may look true, it is in the eyes of God that we are judged.

We need to be close to God and repent daily in order to stay the course. Our ego needs to be put in check daily because it can get out of control quickly. Our ego can grow into a monster and take over our lives. When everything falls apart and we are up to our knees in crocodiles, we immediately wonder why all this is happening to us. We cannot understand why but it is because we built a false reality based on our own desires.

When we serve the lord, we serve ourselves in a righteous way rather than a worldly way. This is very difficult to attain with truly ask for God to help. Our flesh is too weak and we are tempted daily.

Follow the first commandment and put God first. Love God with all your mind, heart, soul, and strength. Trust in God with all your will. This is what he asks of us. Everything else he will give to us if we just do this one thing.

How Does God Love?

We can never fully understand the love of God.   God is perfect in love and is all loving.  That means he has infinite love which we cannot understand.  Our human nature is governed by our ego which is full of jealousy, hatred, anger, green iniquity, and pride.

Let’s say If you were a farmer and your neighbor was a farmer also but he was a man full of sin and let’s say he didn’t really care for God’s things but rather had a bad history.   Imagine that you were a good neighbor, loved God, worshiped God, and served God.

One day you wake up and see that your crops aren’t so great but your sinful neighbors has all the best crops in abundance.   His work yields a much better crop and he rubs it in your face.  You look at your fields and they don’t look so great.

Your first reaction is to get angry, then you might get jealous.  Then you might start talking behind there back.   You might wonder why if you serve the lord and your neighbor is a sinner, why does God yield him a better crop.  Does God love him more?

How does God love us?  Although he is a sinner, God loves him just as much as he loves you.  This is the love of God that we cannot understand.  The rain came down on your crop equally as much as his.  God did his job and blessed both of you equally with enough rain.

How much should we love our neighbor then?  Jesus says we should love and forgive 70×7 or 490 times but our immediate reaction is not love or forgiveness.  So how can we expect to be blessed more than our neighbor when we have not loved or forgiven him.  We have judged him and condemned him as a sinner.

If we don’t have love or forgiveness, we have missed the message of Jesus Christ.   Many times God puts us in awkward situations like this.  It is so that we can learn to love the way he wants us to love.  It is so hard to be human and not have these negative emotions but we have to learn the hard way many times that these negative emotions are what are holding as back from the abundant life God wants us to have on earth and in heaven.

True freedom in this world comes when we learn to live a real christian life.  That does not mean that we need to be a doormat but we need to love and forgive in such a way that we never knew before.

The underlying message in the bible is this love and forgiveness.  This message is subtle throughout the bible as the coming of the messiah Jesus Christ to show us an example of how we should love.  He died on the cross for our sins.  That’s how much he loves and forgives that he went through that torture for you and I.  What a wonderful God we serve.

If we learn to serve other we serve ourselves.  Not that we should go into it with false intentions or be fake to win brownie points but rather have a changing of the heart and mind through Jesus Christ so that we might be made into loving spiritual people.  We should pass this message to others and keep our hope and faith alive through Christ.

We should trust God everyday and pray that he will light our path and teach us how to love and forgive every moment of the day.   We need to love and forgive our neighbor in order to be blessed by God.  This means that we need to get humble and pray.   We need to humbly understand that although we are Christians, God has blessed our neighbor with extra knowledge and understanding that we do not know of.

Maybe the lesson is that if we love and forgive our neighbor the way we should, he will change and learn to love through the message of Jesus Christ and he will become our true friend and teach us his knowledge also.  Love, forgiveness, humility, and gratitude.  This is awesome wisdom from the Bible.
